Dr Daniel Friedman is a Consultant and Interventional Cardiologist who has practised exclusively in the Randwick area since 1996. He completed his undergraduate studies at The University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa, General Physician training at The Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide and advanced Cardiology and Interventional training at the Prince Henry and Prince of Wales Hospitals. He is a VMO at the Prince of Wales Public and Private Hospitals and provides Interventional cover for coronary emergencies. He has been a high volume operator at the Eastern Heart Clinic for more than 20 year and is a member of the Medical Advisory Committee of the Eastern Heart Clinic. He is an acknowledged leader in the field of Cardiac CT, Chaired the inaugural ANZ International Regional Committee of the (American) Society of Cardiovascular CT and was a founding member of the ANZ CTCA Conjoint Committee. He is the Founder and Director of the Australian Institute of Cardiovascular CT which runs advanced Cardiac CT training programs for Cardiologists, Radiologists and Nuclear Medicine Specialists. He was a longstanding member of the Clinical Practices Advisory and the Continuing Education and Recertification Committees of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand and spent 5 years as an imaging Editor for the peer-reviewed journal Heart, Lung and Circulation.
