Blood Pressure Monitor

This is a small device which is attached to a blood pressure cuff. It automatically inflates periodically throughout the day and night and remains on between 12 – 24 hours.

The blood pressure cuff is placed, preferably on your left upper arm, by our practice nurse and monitors your blood pressure during normal activities. It is necessary to remain still for a few moments while the blood pressure reading is being recorded. If at work, some provisions may need to be made for this to occur.

Please wear casual comfortable clothes such as a loose-fitting T-shirt or top to enable the blood pressure cuff to inflate.

It is most important that you do not get the monitor wet and that it is returned
